Ladakh

Ladakh is a high-altitude region located in the northernmost part of India, bordered by Tibet in the east, and Pakistan in the west the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh in the south . It is a land of stark beauty, with a unique landscape of towering peaks, deep valleys, and vast stretches of barren desert.

The region is known for its rich cultural heritage and is home to a diverse population of different ethnic groups, including  Muslims , Ladakhis, Tibetans. The capital of Ladakh is Leh, which is situated at an altitude of over 3500 meters above sea level. The town is a popular tourist destination, known for its ancient Buddhist monasteries, adventure sports , scenic landscapes. The region is also known for its vibrant festivals, including the Hemis festival, which is celebrated in the month of June-July and is dedicated to Guru Padmasambhava, the founder of Tantric Buddhism.
